Blog Pages are considered to be equally important to your blog posts. In-fact they are sometimes even more important because, blog posts get updated often, where as the Blog Pages are static and get updated very rarely.

The main goal of having Blog Pages is to make life easier for your readers, subscribers, visitors, advertisers and everybody else. You need to put yourself in your readers shoes and ask what you would like to see on your blog. That way you will be able to clearly see what are the important changes that you need to make to your blog.

Blog Pages Every Blogger Should Have

1. About Page

About Page

About Pages is one of the most important and most visited pages on your blog.  If you have a look at your Google Analytics, you will probably see that your About Page is probably one of the most visited pages.

About Page is a page giving out more information about yourself or the organization that you are representing.  Once a visitor visits your blog and starts enjoying your content, he will definitely want to know more about you and your personal life. If you are honest, genuine and offer great value, your visitors will definitely start following you and become your loyal readers and customers in the long run.

2. Products And Services Page

Products And Services

Many of you might have your own Products and Services. Showcasing them on your blog would be a great idea. Your readers and visitors will be visiting your blog regularly to consume your content and they would be interested in your Products and Services. I have personally seen many bloggers whose blog pages are selling more than their sales pages. Having them displayed on your blog is really a great idea.

3. Resources Page

Resources Page

Resources Page is the page promoting your favorite and highest converting products. You can use different ideas to make this page interesting. I have used one such method to make my Resources Page interesting. This method is Comparison Page method. I learnt this from Michael Dunlop of IncomeDiary.com. Here you get to compare your offer to a bunch of other services. This way your readers will get to know that you are not recommending products just for commissions and you are actually providing value. You can see he example of a Comparison Page Here.

4. Advertise Page

Advertise Page

If you offer advertising on your blog, then having an advertising page is a great idea. It should not be some typical page asking others to just advertise on your blog. Your Advertise Page should answer the important questions that your potential advertisers may have. Having other information of your blog like the unique visitors, number of page views, email subscribers, RSS subscribers and different slots of ads and their prices will make your potential advertisers more interested in what you have to offer.

5. Squeeze Page

Squeeze Page

I am sure you would have gone through the phrase “THE MONEY IS IN YOUR LIST”. Well, the money is certainly in your list. The more people you can get to subscribe to your list, the more the chance of getting your readers to visit your site again and make you more money.

Squeeze Page is one of the most important pages on your blog, because they focus mainly on building your list by offering your free opt-in offer. It minimizes all the other distractions that would usually be on your blog. Another advantage is that your readers will easily be able to share it on other platforms like social media and forums.

I use and personally recommend Optimize Press WordPress Theme to build super quick Squeeze Pages, Membership Sites and Sales Funnels in just few clicks. For collecting and sending emails to my readers, I use Aweber and Constant Contact email marketing services. I highly recommend Aweber – it would be the best investment for your business.

6. Thank You For Subscribing Page

Thank You For Subscribing Page

Thank You For Subscribing Page is the page that your subscribers will get once they subscribe to your free opt-in offer. It is really important to thank your subscribers and remind them to confirm their email address and inform them what they about to receive. By default this would be an Aweber thank you page (assuming that you are using Aweber). But you can change this by creating and sending your opt-in subscribers to your Thank You For Subscribing Page.

You can also mention your highly converting products and posts in this page along with your free gift. This gives you another chance to send your subscribers back to your blog and make more money in the process by soft selling your products.

7. Frequently Asked Questions Page/ Your Questions Answered Page

FAQ Page

This is one page that I am currently working on. Often you get asked with the same questions again and again. Having a FQA’s Page on your blog will be a great way to save time. When someone email’s you a question, answer and post it on your FAQ Page. This way you can send them back to your blog and make more money. What would be even better is to create a video answering these questions, posting it on your blog and uploading to other video sharing and social media sites as well. This way you get content for your video and social media marketing as well.

8. Favorite Posts Page

Favourite Posts

Favorite Posts Page is a page where you can feature all your favorite and highest converting blog posts. This is a great way to direct your readers to the blog posts that offer great value and make more money for you.

9. Contact Page

Contact Page

Blogging is an interactive business and your readers, visitors, advertisers, press and others would like to contact you for obvious reasons. It is necessary that you make it easy for them to contact you. You can also mention links to your Subscription Page, FAQ’s. I use a free WordPress Plugin called Contact Form 7 to create cool looking contact forms. This makes my blog look professional and my email is also safe from unwanted attention.

10. Press Page

Press Page

Press Page is a very important page that will showcase your work other than your blog. Your interviews, press write ups, mentions etc. can be showcased on this page. This is a great way to show your blog visitors, readers, advertisers and others about your credibility and popularity on the internet. It is also a great way to return a favor to the people who mention you. This way you will get mentioned and interviewed more as well.

Hope this post will help you in adding those important changes to your blog. Please let me know about your experiences, both good and bad and what you learned in the comments below.
